About Me

Welcome to the Archidevineer blog!

Hello, my name is Sean. Welcome.

I am a life-long learner and my goal with this blog is to continue to develop my knowledge and skills by blogging about subjects I am interested about. By putting the content on my blog, maybe someone else will benefit from it too.

My Background

I have been working in IT for 25 years. My first year was spent in a call center doing tech support. The remaining 24 years have been spent in software development. It has been quite a journey getting to this point. My current title is Staff Software Engineer. Some of my responsibilities include leading team projects, designing software, writing and reviewing code, providing architectural guidance, and assisting the team with technical challenges.

If you haven’t already guessed, Archidevineer is an amalgamation of architect, developer and engineer. I chose this name for the blog to represent the many hats one wears as a software professional.

Software Architect

A software architect makes high-level design choices and frames technical standards. This might include tools, software coding standards, or platforms to be used.

Software Developer

Software developers create software to meet user needs by employing diagrams and models, writing code, and ensuring overall functionality. These professionals design, build, and implement computer programs and applications.

Software Engineer

software engineer is a person who applies the principles of software engineering to design, develop, maintain, test, and evaluate computer software.
